Meridian Equity Partners Rings The Closing Bell of the New York Stock Exchange

On August 14, 2025, The New York Stock Exchange welcomed Meridian Equity Partners, Inc to the podium to celebrate the firm's 20-year anniversary of NYSE membership. To honor the occasion, Jonathan Acquafredda, Jonathan Corpina, Columb Lytle and Thomas Donato, along with their families, had the privilege of proudly ringing the closing bell.

Jonathan Acquafredda

Jonathan Acquafredda is a Senior Managing Partner of Meridian Equity Partners. He started at Meridian as head sales trader specializing in Risk Arbitrage, Convertible Arbitrage and Pairs trading covering a wide range of multi-billion-dollar hedge funds. He currently serves in an Executive Managerial role overseeing Meridian’s Long Island branch office, managing vendor relationships & expenses, and being the firm’s IT liaison. Jon is also an NYSE floor broker (badge #822) and serves as a back up sales trader. He is Series 3, 7, 10, 19, 24, 25, & 63 registered.

Prior to Meridian, Jon worked on the NYSE floor for Cuttone & Co. where he led a three-person team which developed an extensive book of multi-billion-dollar clients including some of Wall Street's largest and most respected money managers. He was one of the largest producing sales traders on the NYSE floor. Jon also worked on the NYSE floor at Farina & Associates trading Risk Arbitrage and Lombardi & Co trading listed Convertible Arbitrage. Before working on the NYSE floor, he worked at Santander Financial Products in the equity arbitrage group and Nomura Securities trading residential mortgage-backed securities.

Jon graduated from Binghamton University with a double major in Economics & Psychology. He serves on the fundraising committees for Chaminade High School and Kellenberg High School, coached numerous Oyster Bay & travel youth sports teams, volunteered at and supports the People Loving People Oyster Bay food pantry along with supporting numerous animal shelters.

Jonathan Corpina

Jonathan manages trading and sales on the Meridian NYSE trading desk. An NYSE member since 2001, Jonathan is an elected Executive Floor Governor and is President of the Organization of Independent Floor Brokers (OIFB). In addition, Jonathan is an elected member of several FINRA and NYSE Advisory Committees. Jonathan was previously a partner for 7 years at Polcari-Weicker, a direct access subsidiary of ICAP, serving three years as NYSE Member and four years as sales trader. Prior to ICAP, Jonathan began his career with Salomon Brothers. Jonathan is regularly featured on CNBC, Bloomberg, CNN and Fox Business Network among appearances in other major financial news media.

Jonathan graduated from The Catholic University of America with a BA in Politics and is Series 7, 24, 25 & 63 registered. Jonathan currently serves on the Board of Directors for Iona Preparatory School in New Rochelle, NY, and is the current President of The Joseph Foundation, a foundation that aims to improve the lives of children with traumatic brain injuries (TBI).

Columb Lytle

Columb oversees the daily operations for the firm as Head of Compliance and CFO. In addition, he is a key sales trader covering a variety of institutional accounts specializing in Risk and Convertible arbitrage, Pairs and Stubs trading. Prior to joining Meridian as a founding principal, Columb spent over 7 years at Inline Brokers as CFO and sales trader specializing in European ADR's. He is currently an active member of the NYSE Technology and Algo Committees plus a volunteer member of several FINRA and NYSE advisory committees.

Columb holds a BA in Philosophy from The Catholic University of America and an MBA from the University of Rochester's Simon School of Business. Columb is series 7, 10, 14, 24, 25, 27, 57,63, 79 & 99 registered. He is active in several community and charitable organizations including the Our Lady of Grace School and Manhasset Youth Sports Programs.

Thomas Donato

Tommy is one of Meridian's lead floor brokers, having been an NYSE member since 2007. He handles both high-touch and low-touch equity order flow specializing in pairs trading, merger & convertible arbitrage, and program trading. In addition, Tommy manages much of Meridian's operational day-to-day. Prior to Meridian, he was an accomplished sales trader at Cuttone & Company trading merger arbitrage and special situations from the NYSE floor.

Tommy graduated from the State University at Albany with a BS in business administration, finance concentration. He is series 4, 7, 25, 55, and 63 registered.
